London Wedding Videographers | Our 2017 Highlights
As we reflect on the past 12 Months we want to thank all of our clients and industry friends for their support and help in making 2017 our most successful year of business to date. At the end of each year we always make a point not only to celebrate our successes, but also to look at aspects of our business that can be refined – with the aim of providing an even better service to our couples in future.
As part of this process we also take time to think about the direction that we would like our work and life to take. We are not a volume business and have always firmly believed in quality over quantity, producing the best films we can for a select number of couples. With each year that passes this intention becomes increasingly important as we find ourselves putting more into each wedding film we produce. We absolutely love our job, but filming such precious moments does put life into perspective. We did not go into business just to make money, but to pursue something that we are truly passionate about whilst having the freedom to make our own decisions without the constraints of a typical 9-5 job. For this reason we felt it important to further limit the number of wedding commissions that we take on, enabling us to maintain the high level of passion for our work whilst also spending more quality time with our family and friends.
To celebrate the New Year we have produced a montage showcasing our favourite shots from 2017, alongside some interesting facts.
-We filmed a total of 27 weddings in 2017 (within an 8 month period).
-It has been a culturally diverse year for us filming Jewish, Hindu, Muslim, Christian, Chinese and Arabic weddings for couples originating from Saudi Arabia, Singapore, Lebanon, USA, France, Vietnam, Spain, Pakistan, and of course, the UK.
-Our smallest wedding had 38 guests, whilst the largest had 600 guests.
-2,250 miles (one way) is the furthest distance we travelled to film a wedding (St Petersburg, Florida).
-85% of our wedding bookings in 2017 in came via word of mouth recommendation.
-July was our busiest month with 9 wedding events for 6 couples.
-We had 1 near miss thanks to a category 5 hurricane in Florida.
-And last but not least, we, Adam and Rachel got engaged!
We are beginning 2018 with a trip to Italy to search for our dream wedding venue, followed by an expedition to Southern India; a country we have always wanted to visit ever since filming our first Indian wedding in 2012. We are also excited about upcoming 2018 weddings taking place in some amazing locations, our diary is filling up fast and we plan to take just 7 more commissions for the coming season.
Whatever your plans for 2018; we wish you all a happy, healthy and prosperous year!
